Servicing & Testing

We charge a flat rate for servicing and testing gas boilers and electrical appliances. Our charges are subject to VAT and the cost of materials beyond the standard materials used to complete a gas safety certificate or portable appliance test.

Orders & Payment

We accept all major debit and credit cards. All the prices on our website are exclusive of VAT.

For all orders booked online or by telephone; your preferred payment will be taken by our head office and then an operative will be dispatched to attend your property at the scheduled date and time. Unless an emergency, we only take bookings 48 hrs in advance online or the day before by telephone. Our cancellation policy is 24hrs in advance of the scheduled appointment time for a full refund.

It may be necessary to increase our charges if materials are required and an engineer purchases materials for the job than indicated at the time of booking. All costs will be detailed in your invoice that is left at your property at the time of visit.

The Contractor shall not be required to issue or deliver any certificates, guarantees or other similar documents regarding the works until payment has been made in full.

Unhappy Customers

We are very proud of the workmanship we undertake. We believe in quality workmanship and don’t believe in returning a second or third time to complete a job. We will really not be happy until you are.

We offer a full refund or free return policy (excluding purchased and used materials) if you are not entirely satisfied with our handling of the booking or the final workmanship. We do have a few rules:

Un-satisfaction report must be made in writing by email within 5 days of the invoice date
Please take photographs of the problem.
Estimates and variations to the price

Any estimate provided by The L Team is valid for 28 days.

Unless otherwise specified by the Contractor in the relevant estimate, an estimate is not a firm or fixed price quotation. It is an estimate of the likely minimum cost of the works, based on the information made available to the Contractor.

If there are additional specialist parts required to complete the job; they will be charged at the relevant rate plus our administration charge.

If the materials are ordered for subsequent collection and delivery, an additional charge of carriage may be made by the Contractor.

Indemnity:
The Client shall indemnify the Contractor against all actions, suits, claims, demands, losses, charges, costs and expenses which the Contractor may suffer or incur in connection with a claim by any third party resulting from a breach of the Client's obligations, undertakings, representations and warranties in connection with this Contract.

Force Majeure:
The Contractor will use all reasonable endeavours to carry out the Works on the agreed dates but shall not be under any liability to the Client if it should be either impossible or impracticable to carry out the Works on the agreed dates or at all, by reason of strike, lock out, industrial dispute, act of god or any other event or occurrence beyond the Contractor's control.

terms of offers

"The 10% offer on labour" refers only to your 1st booking of a The L Team operative in response to a single property within our area of attendance in London.

The offer applies for all our emergency services but only between the hours of 8am - 6pm. If you require an emergency call-out between these hours your discount voucher will not be redeemable but can be retained for your next booking of one of our plumbers, handyman, electricians or decorators between the hours of 8am-6pm.

The voucher must be redeemed within 10 days of issue.
